Ian joined TAP in 2008 after a five-year association as a client. Since then, he has created case studies and CEO referenceable outcomes in clients such as Kraft, Telstra, Luxottica, MSD, LensCrafters, Crown Castle, CSC, Novartis, Axicom and Scentre Group; owner and operator of Westfield Malls.
Ian has led TAP engagements in 10 countries, successfully working across a wide range of cultures and geographies including Singapore, China, Germany, Malaysia, Japan and Hong Kong. As a former global executive, Ian understands how the connection between leadership, business performance and culture in a dispersed organisation can be made to work to the organisation’s advantage.
Ian’s experience in leadership and business transformation spans over 35 years in industries such as steel, government, information technology, education, construction, building services, mining, building materials, FMCG, retail and management consulting. He brings local and global experience to TAP from a people, strategy and change agent perspective. He has worked for companies such as Ernst and Young, James Hardie Industries, Wang and Getronics in both practitioner and consulting roles.
Having seen the strength of a systematic approach to leading change, Ian is now bringing his experience to bear across a wide client group at TAP.
Ian has a degree in Commerce, majoring in organizational behaviour and industrial relations. He is accredited in all major Human Synergistics tools, is a member of ICF, has advanced coaching accreditation from the Institute of Coaching and Consulting Psychology at the University of Sydney, and is a Certified Master Coach from the International Coaching Council. Ian clearly lives his value of life-long learning.
